‘Comfy Cat’ by Blu | Acrylic on board

With rich, swirling textures and strong pastel shades, this striking painting is a superb example of the effects that can be achieved by a skilled artist working in acrylic. Here, the artist Blu (Barbara Craig) depicts a black cat nestled on comfy covers, her bold choice of colour contrasting pleasingly with the monochrome puss. It is signed with her monogram BC in the lower-right corner.
